Turkey distribution scheduled for Thursday
Our own John McMullan will distribute turkeys and other foods to the needy Thursday at Athens Sleep Inn and Suites Hotel, 109 Florence Drive behind the Sonic drive-in on Atlanta Highway in Bogart.
John organized the drive to collect nearly 200 turkeys and turkey loaves, and additional food obtained from the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia. The giveaway is set for 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday.
