This week we do a whirlwind tour of what it means to, “take up your cross daily and follow (Jesus)”. Key to understanding this is taking a look at what it meant for Jesus to go to the cross. It meant much more than giving up sin. It meant more than giving up existence on the earth. It had a lot to do with giving up everything, good or bad, in order to gain all that God had in store for Him and for us. When we follow His example the sacrifice is extreme but the rewards are phenomenal not only for us but for the world in which we live. Join us this week as we begin, “Swapping Six for Seven”.
